University of Northern Colorado: Student Services/Programs<br />

As a ColoradoSPH student with a home campus at UNC, there are several school-wide and campusspecific<br />

resources that can be very useful to reference throughout your time in the program. Note that<br />

matriculation/enrollment, course registration, financial aid, and tuition payments are handled through<br />

CU Anschutz and student services and resources specific to your home campus are provided through<br />

UNC. The following list should be very beneficial in understanding where to find appropriate<br />

in<strong>for</strong>mation.<br />

UNC Student Resources<br />

Alternative Transportation<br />

UNC has a free campus bike program that is offered through Campus Recreation, with a fleet of 100<br />

cruiser bicycles and 20 mountain bikes. You can check out a bike <strong>for</strong> free with your student ID <strong>for</strong> a<br />

week at a time. UNC is a Bronze Level Bicycle Friendly University with a network of paths on and near<br />

campus. The Boomerang Shuttle runs each day, Monday-Friday, across campus – free <strong>for</strong> students. You<br />

can also ride around town on the Greeley-Evans Transit (GET) buses with your ID at no cost.<br />

Applied Statistics and Research Methods (ASRM) Consulting Lab<br />

The ASRM Consulting Lab provides UNC faculty, staff, and students with free consultation on research<br />

and survey design, data collection and management, statistical analysis, and evaluation. Research<br />

consultants are available on a drop-in basis or by appointment.<br />

Canvas<br />

Sign into UNC’s online management system, Canvas, with your URSA username and password. The<br />

following site provides in<strong>for</strong>mation and reference guides to get you started:<br />

available until the course start date. If you do not have access when the semester starts, contact the<br />

UNC Technical Support Center at 970-351-4357.<br />

Bookstore<br />

The UNC Bookstore is located in the University Center and offers campus apparel, accessories, school<br />

supplies, and books. All textbooks <strong>for</strong> UNC courses through the ColoradoSPH will be available prior to<br />

each semester. Students can search <strong>for</strong> courses by term, department (Community Health = CH), course<br />

ID, and section to access required textbooks and course materials. Note: the UNC course ID<br />

corresponds to the ColoradoSPH course number; e.g., CHBH 6120 = CH 612 at UNC. For non-UNC<br />

classes, refer to the appropriate campus bookstore (CU Anschutz or CSU) <strong>for</strong> textbook in<strong>for</strong>mation.<br />

Breastfeeding/Chestfeeding Support and Resources<br />

The Women’s Resource Center offers resources <strong>for</strong> students, faculty, and staff who seek support <strong>for</strong><br />

breastfeeding, including in<strong>for</strong>mation about lactation stations on campus. UNC received a Breastfeeding<br />

Friendly Business Award from Weld County Public Health and Environment.<br />
