Meara Faw, PhD<br />
Concentration at ColoradoSPH at CSU: Health Communication<br />
Dr. Faw is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Studies at<br />
CSU. Her research explores how interpersonal relationships and connections can<br />
promote health and well-being primarily through the communication of social<br />
support and conflict management behaviors. Dr. Faw has engaged in several<br />
innovative research approaches, including examining natural interactions and biological markers, in<br />
order to understand the associations between communication and health.<br />
Gwen Fisher, PhD<br />
Concentration at ColoradoSPH at CSU: Epidemiology<br />
Dr. Fisher’s research is focused on industrial-organizational psychology<br />
centered around occupational health psychology, including health and<br />
wellbeing among older workers; retirement, work ability and prolonged<br />
working life; and the work/non-work interface, including work/non-work<br />
conflict, enhancement and work/life balance.<br />
Brian Foy, PhD<br />
Concentration at ColoradoSPH at CSU: Global Health and Health<br />
Disparities<br />
Dr. Foy works with vectors and vector-borne pathogens in research that spans<br />
basic and applied biology. His current interests lie in defining concepts that<br />
govern blood meal acquisition and digestion by vectors, and parasite and arbovirus<br />
transmission from vertebrates to vectors and vice versa. His goal is to use this knowledge,<br />
combined with the epidemiological concepts that define vector-borne diseases, to practically<br />
control their transmission.<br />
Frank Garry, DVM<br />
Concentration at ColoradoSPH at CSU: Animals, People and the<br />
Environment<br />
Dr. Gary is a Professor in Clinical Sciences and an Extension Veterinarian in<br />
the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at CSU and in the<br />
Department of Epidemiology in the Colorado School of Public Health. Dr. Garry’s primary<br />
