Jennifer Martin, PhD<br />

Environment<br />
Dr. Martin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Animal Sciences at<br />
CSU and in the Department of Epidemiology in the Colorado School of Public<br />
Health. Her research interest is system based approaches to understanding,<br />
maintaining and improving the safety, quality and nutritive value of muscle foods.<br />
Adam Mayer, PhD<br />

Disparities<br />
Dr. Mayer studies how energy impacts the health, well-being, economy, and social<br />
conditions of host communities.<br />
Jeff McCubbin, PhD<br />
Concentration at ColoradoSPH at CSU: Physical Activity and Healthy<br />
Lifestyles<br />
Dr. McCubbin is the Dean of the College of Human Sciences at CSU and in the<br />
Department of Community and Behavioral Health in the Colorado School of<br />
Public Health. Dean McCubbin’s research interest is movement studies in disability, an area of<br />
study designed to develop professionals who respond to motor, physical activity and health<br />
needs of people with disabilities.<br />
Chris Melby, MPH, PhD<br />

Nutrition (Concentration Lead)<br />
Dr. Melby is a Professor and Department Head in the Department of Food<br />
Science and Human Nutrition at CSU and in the Department of Epidemiology<br />
in the Colorado School of Public Health. Dr. Melby has a long-standing<br />
research focus on the interplay between dietary eating patterns and exercise/physical activity<br />
in regard to energy metabolism and the untoward sequelae of positive energy balance,<br />
especially insulin resistance and dyslipidemia. Recent work involves investigations focused on:<br />
