2. Schedule<br />

everything<br />

If you want to be<br />

remembered as a<br />

good wife, then you<br />

have to do things<br />

today like go on regular<br />

date nights. If you<br />

want to be remembered<br />

as a present<br />

mom, then you have<br />

to have times in your<br />

day where you put<br />

your phone away and<br />

are actually present.<br />

In order for these<br />

types of activities to<br />

actually happen, they<br />

have to be scheduled.<br />

So, schedule<br />

things like a weekly<br />

date night, daily<br />

aimless time with<br />

you children, and<br />

self-care practices<br />

as regular, recurring<br />

appointments, and<br />

hold them sacred like<br />

you would a client<br />

meeting or a parentteacher<br />

interview.<br />

3. Don’t make life<br />

hard in the areas<br />

it does not have<br />

to be<br />

In all areas of life that<br />

do not necessarily<br />

require your unique<br />

attention, find ways<br />

to delegate, automate<br />

or delete. For<br />

example, this could<br />

look like groceries<br />

being ordered online,<br />

and either being<br />

delivered or picked<br />

up with a curbside<br />

service. Outsource<br />

cleaning to a local<br />

entrepreneur. Even<br />

think about ways<br />

to enlist the help<br />

of family. Is there<br />

someone in your life<br />

could regularly check<br />

for light bulbs that<br />

Whether you<br />

4. Let go of perfection<br />

and other<br />

people’s standards<br />

of success<br />

This is the hardest<br />

one, but often times<br />

the most important.<br />

Stress is often<br />

caused by our own<br />

expectations, and<br />

the reaction we have<br />

when our expectations<br />

you, and vice versa.<br />

So much freedom<br />

and joy can be found<br />

when we can claim<br />

a version of success<br />

for ourselves.<br />
