The NHL season officially kicks off this
month, and we’ve got the scoop on all things
hockey from one of Arizona Coyotes’ rising
stars – Jakob Chychrun (page 40). The defenseman
recently signed a six-year extension
on his contract. Beyond his skills on the ice,
we talked to Chychrun about his stellar style
(check out all of those suits on his Instagram!), and his personal
connection to spreading mental health awareness.
October also means Halloween and the holidays are right on
the horizon. In turn, pumpkins are pretty much everywhere. You
may be carving them or creating pies with the insides, but have
you thought about putting pumpkin on your skin? Page 48 shares
some beauty benefits of pumpkin and has a recipe for a face mask.
Speaking of skin, page 38 highlights eight fascinating facts about
your skin.
It’s also also Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Page 46
has the lowdown on life after breast cancer and reconstructive
surgery.
As the holidays approach, the family calendar is likely filling
up. We talk tips for working moms to juggle it all (is balance really
a thing?) on page 28.
We’re also talking thirdhand smoke (page 50), sharing easy
items to swap out in your kitchen to help the environment (page
36), and showcasing a recipe for healthy sea salt almond butter
cups to help you kick that candy habit this month (page 18). Enjoy
a little sweet treat – you deserve it!
Best,
