MEET THE TEAM With The Cosmetic Clinic opening in the Hornby Hub – its third premises in Christchurch, we thought it high time we introduced you to the faces behind the brand.
STYLE | promotion 77 Rosa Guthrie CO-OWNER OF THE CHRISTCHURCH FRANCHISES Where does The Cosmetic Clinic story begin? Having spent close to 15 years in the industry, away from New Zealand, it always niggled me that no one was offering these advanced treatments, at affordable prices, in convenient locations back here. Having decided it was time to put down some roots on home soil, I teamed up with my business partner to launch The Cosmetic Clinic. Fast-forward just over three years, there are nine clinics in the network, with more openings on the cards in the next few years. What’s your favourite treatment? My personal favourite is microneedling. We use the Dermapen 4, which is an amazing tool. We can treat almost all skin types, focusing on a whole range of issues the client may have – pigmentation, dull lacklustre skin, acne scarring, open pores, etc. A course of treatments makes any skin glow! Caroline Holloway CBD FRANCHISE CO-OWNER What is your most popular treatment? Most of my clients go for our ‘Ultimate Selfie’ or ‘Harmony’ package as they are such great value. The former is the lips and crows’ feet or frown line package, while Harmony is a full refresh of lips, cheeks and anti-wrinkle. Often the best results are achieved by little bits of product spread across multiple areas on the face, enhancing the whole face rather than just focusing on highlighting one area. How does a typical day play out for you? With a toddler at home one tends to rise and shine pretty early! I squeeze in an F45 workout before clinic, then it’s straight into the day. My days are filled with clients, some have been coming to see me for many years and I get to meet lots of new faces too. I really enjoy the clientele I have in the CBD so my days fly by. From the consultation to their first treatments, my aim is to help them achieve subtle enhancements that make them feel more naturally beautiful. I have been involved and performed a vast range of services in the beauty industry for nine years. I have occupied both management and operational roles with a clear focus in delivering a service underpinned by care, diligence and understanding. I am very excited to be taking the next step in my career to finally be a business owner. What are you most looking forward to with this new venture? I am looking forward to being part of a reputable brand that places great emphasis in delivering affordable solutions to cosmetic care. It has been a life-long ambition to be a business owner, in particular, a business owner in a client-centric industry. I cannot wait to be leading my team and creating a fantastic work environment that not only my team will enjoy but our clients will too. Sharon Sutherland CBD FRANCHISE CO-OWNER What is one of your favourite success stories? Over the years I have taught many upand-coming passionate therapists how to communicate, create appropriate treatment plans and to prescribe skin care that is personalised for each individual client. The most heartwarming feedback I could possibly get from these wonderful therapists is when I speak to them now, in many cases 15 to 20 years later and they say, ‘You helped me become the success I am today with your knowledge and passion for the industry.’ What’s on your personal beauty bucket list?
