From eatery updates to delicious dishes, we provide
the scoop on the latest taste sensations.
GO BACK TO...
Pita Pit, as group sharing platters are now a thing – just in
time for the party season. On the menu are Pita Nachos,
Loaded Hummus and Shared Salads along with the Pita
Platters that make catering the next get-together super
simple. It’s easy to order online too, with pick up in store
at Northlands.
SO HOT RIGHT NOW
There’s no doubt about it, oat milk is having a
moment and we’re currently trying every variety
in our flat whites and iced coffees. We’ve been
sipping oak milk by UK brand Minor Figures, and
also enjoying its canned coffees including Nitro
Cold Brew and oat milk iced lattés. Another
great option is New Zealand’s very own Otis oat
milk, which recently launched nationwide.
WORLD FAMOUS IN NZ
Restaurant co-owner Phoebe-Jane (PJ) Gemmell
and head chef Rob Dicky of Fisherman’s Wharf
(39 Norwich Quay) appeared on screens
nationwide recently as they put their culinary
skills on the table for Kiwi reality TV series
My Restaurant Rules. The pair were one of two
South Island restaurants to join the five and
served the ever-popular gluten-free ‘luscious
lemon’ dessert with ground almonds, lemon
curd, passion fruit pulp and cream. Just one of
the delicious recipes Rob has finessed through
lessons passed down by his grandmother.
