Watchmaker Bell & Ross turned a new chapter when they recently<br />
launched Jalaini Abu Hassan’s GHOST art exhibition. With the aim of<br />
spurring curiosity and appreciation for local arts and culture, the event<br />
marked the first time the Swiss watchmaker engaging with the Malaysian<br />
art scene. Artist Jalaini Abu Hassan, popularly referred to as “Jai”, and<br />
one of Malaysia’s best-known names on the art circuit, presented his<br />
collection of five original artworks called Ghost, of which the fifth and<br />
final piece was completed live on launch night. <strong>The</strong> apex of the evening<br />
was when the ambient lighting was abruptly replaced with UV lights to<br />
bring the ghost-themed paintings to spectacularly spectral life, pulsating<br />
with the rhythm spun by celebrated deejay-about-town, Blink.<br />

Watch aficionados had an opportunity to get up close and personal with the<br />
rich legacy of timepieces by internationally acclaimed IWC Schaffhausen<br />
at the IWC Pilot’s Watches Exhibition in Malaysia recently. Along with a<br />
remarkable selection of watches from the Swiss brand’s latest line of pilot’s<br />
watches, the exhibit also featured 12 historical pieces that have gained iconic<br />
status in the horological universe. <strong>The</strong> grand unveiling of the exhibition was in conjunction with the opening of the newly redesigned IWC<br />
boutique at Pavilion — third in Southeast Asia after Bangkok and Manila to implement the Swiss watchmaker’s latest global boutique design<br />
concept. <strong>The</strong> evening cocktail was attended by some 250 guests including industry captains, A-list celebrities and socialites.<br />

Kate Spade New York celebrated the grand opening of their new Suria KLCC store<br />
with more than 100 distinguished guests attending the opening event, including Oh<br />
Yeon Seo, South Korean actress and Malaysian Actress Scha Alyahya.<br />
Guests were invited to view the new brand vision under Creative Director Nicola<br />
Glass, and enjoyed mocktails and canapés, followed by in-store activities including<br />
personalising their own luggage tag with the new embossing machine while listening<br />
to DJ Irama’s upbeat music. Following the in-store event, guests were treated to an<br />
