It is useful to explore the possible challenges of IT adoption from the point of view of the
operations of the organizations. The statistical results have shown very interesting outcomes. In
the local based companies and worldwide multinational companies have same dominant
challenge of complexity of the current system. GCC based companies are facing main
challenge of infrastructure of the organization as a main challenge in the It adoption. Middle
East based organizations are having two main equally important challenges; those are Lack of
skilled worker and infrastructure of the company. These interesting figures are opening the
doors for the future researches to explore the results further.
Conclusion
Breaking down the analysis under different RQs tried to validate the results from different
angles. All the analysis results showed that complexity of the system and infrastructure are the
main challenges faced by different organizations. Resistance to change and lack of skilled labor
are the dominants secondary challenges in these organizations. For further detail based on
different categories, size, and operation width the analysis in the discussion can provide indepth
analysis. The current research provided a starting point to future researchers to validate
the results of current research with their outcomes. The limitation of the current research is that
it is focusing on the service sector. The same type of research can be replicated on the
manufacturing sector of UAE. The outcomes of the manufacturing research can be also used for
the comparative research with the data of the current research to compare the possible IT
adoption challenges. Further, future researcher can repeat the same type of research in other
GCC and Middle Eastern countries using the same parameters of the current research.
