Resurrection-Ascension Catholic Academy in
Rego Park has been educating children for over
80 years. Its motto, Rise…Aspire…Challenge…
Achieve, exemplifies its high expectations and
belief in the abilities and talents of the students.
The diverse student population represents over
50 different countries.
The school provides a well-rounded academic education,
rooted in the Gospel message of Jesus.
Access to technology is a hallmark of the Academy.
The sixth, seventh and eighth graders participate
in a 1:1 Chromebook program that allows
students to utilize this technology both in school
and at home. Utilizing Google Classroom allows
students to collaborate while in their own homes.
Feedback from teachers is immediate. Primary
students have access to IPads, and utilize them in
a group setting. A weekly computer class rounds
out the program.
Utilizing the Lab Learner STEM program for
grades K-8, students perform hands-on inquiries
and experiments weekly, using research quality
equipment found in a state-of-the-art STEM lab.
In addition to an outstanding academic education,
Resurrection-Ascension students are given
the opportunity to explore
their talents in
the arts. Third graders
are introduced
to the violin through
a 15-week program
through Midori &
Friends. Fourth and
fifth graders explore
the world of ballroom
dancing during a 20-
week course from Dancing Classrooms.
The school offers a variety of extra-curricular
activities including CYO basketball and soccer,
twirling, Girl Scouts, Crochet Club, Student Council,
Children’s Choir and Safety Patrol.
The basis of all activity is a love of God and dedication
to service. Students learn to give of their
time and talent to improve the lives of others
through food drives, fundraisers and in-school
service.
