transitioning to remote learning during the
spring of 2020. We look forward to the coming
school year confident that we are prepared to
meet the challenges that may lie ahead with
the enthusiasm, competence and grace that
defines our school community. Our mission to
prepare our students academically, spiritually
and emotionally to excel in high school, college
and career anchors all instructional goals. We
share a unique collaboration with St. Edmund
Preparatory High School, with the majority of
our graduates attending the Prep and experiencing
a seamless transition from elementary
to high school. The mascot of St. Edmund
Prep is the Eagle, and the Elementary school
children are affectionately referred to as “Little
Eagles”. We provide our students with the opportunity
to develop their critical thinking skills
by tailoring instruction to include STEM activities
across all curriculum areas. Robotics is
programmed into the school day for students
in grades five to eight. Our First Lego League
Robotics team, the Nerd Herd, has placed
each year in city-wide competition. Our fully
equipped Science Lab provides an optimal
environment for our students to participate in
hands-on Lab Learners experiments and activities
in biology, chemistry, physical science and
physics. Our newly renovated Computer Lab
and Library Media Center offer our students
intellectually stimulating learning centers to

environment. St. Edmund Elementary offers
an Early Morning Program that opens at 7:00
a.m. and an Afterschool Program that includes
homework assistance until 6:00 p.m. Afterschool
Clubs include: Math Club, Drama, Violin,
Junior Robotics, Newspaper, Cooking, Gardening
and Art. The unique architectural style of
our building which houses St. Edmund Church
creates a spiritual and peaceful atmosphere
that enhances our academic programs and
social activities. St. Edmund Elementary offers
a Tuition-Free Catholic School Pre-K Program.
