The mission at St. Patrick Catholic Academy
in Bay Ridge is to lead by example as Christ did
when teaching, learning and serving.
St. Patrick is a student-centered community
where students learn to lead by example.
Starting in the Nursery Program (PK3), all students
have the opportunity to attend art, music,
gym, Italian, and library classes. Kindergarten
through eighth graders effectively use 1:1 devices.
Junior High students have a choice of
language class and prepare for NYS Algebra 1
and Living Environment Regents Exams. Each
has an Apple TV or SMARTboard and air-conditioning!
Every eighth grader is accepted to his
or her first choice high school.
Recent renovations at the Bay Ridge school
include the creation of new nursery and prekindergarten
classrooms. Patrick’s features a Library-Media
Center, STEM Lab and a newly-renovated
gymnasium.
All the teachers are New York State certified
teachers and deliver differentiated instruction
to meet the needs of each student. Blended
learning is prevalent in grades K through eight.
Collaboration and teamwork are taught to facilitate
group work and students are involved in
establishing guidelines for behavior. Rubrics
are used to communicate with students what
is important and to assess their understanding.
St. Patrick is a studentcentered
community
where students learn
to lead by example.
Last year, 100% of the eighth grade passed
the New York State 2019 Algebra 1 Regents
Exam, and 100% of the eighth grade passed
the January 2020 Living Environment Regents
Exam. One hundred percent of the fourth grade
mastered the NYS 2019 ELA and Math exams.
The curriculum at St. Patrick is rigorous and
challenging.
Limited spaces are still available for the
2020-2021 school year, starting at the nursery
level, which offers half-day and full-day options.
