to ensure his or her continued success. The
family-oriented atmosphere is enriched with
faculty, staff and parents who are graduates
for the Development of Human Potential.
Each morning, the school community participates
in prayer together. In addition to daily
prayer, classes from grades K-8 attend Mass
once a month with the church community at St.
Therese of Lisieux. There are also many opportunities
for students to raise money for those in
need, or a specific cause, as well as reaching
out to their neighbors.
As the academy’s mission statement says:
“We prepare each student to live a life of faith
and integrity able to serve actively and justly in
the Church and world.” The academy provides
instruction in religion, language arts, mathematics,
science, social studies, art, music and
physical education. In addition, there are visitors
(parents and other community members),
assemblies, field trips and other enrichment
activities that enhance classroom instruction.

Lab that is available to students from kindergarten
through eighth grade with hands-on
learning experiences in biology, physics and
chemistry while using engineering and math

the deep mathematical and scientific foundation
students need to be competitive in the 21st
century workforce.

Catholic Academy offers free, full-day,
high-quality pre-K through NYC’s Pre-K for All.
Pre-K for All students learn through play, exploration,
and from their relationships with teachers
and peers. The school fosters the children’s
independence as they gain skills needed to
continue to succeed throughout their school
career.
