The justconcluded placement season at IBSBangalore for the outgoing 2020 batch ofstudents witnessed a significant uptrendwith a rush of offers from various reputeddomestic as well as international MNCsthat visited our campus. Reflecting theoptimistic business sentiment, corporatehouses across industry verticals showedkeen interest in recruiting from ourcampus and offered higher pay packagesthan previous years. This is a reflection ofthe positive experience that our recruitershave had with our students from previousbatches who have made successfulcareers in these organizations.Prof. G.V. The highlymotivated and talented group of studentsat our campus have made the best useof these opportunities and chosen theseorganizations for building their careers.This year, 113 companies participated inthe placement process, and I am happyto inform you that a good number ofthem are new companies from growingsectors, that started their relationshipwith IBS Bangalore this year. The BFSIsector continued to lead the way interms of recruitments. We are alsohappy to note that the average CTChas shown an uptrend for the seventhconsecutive year.A practice-oriented curriculum, aconducive learning environment, theuntiring efforts of our faculty members,constant mentoring by our alumni,useful inputs from the placement team,and appropriate soft-skills interventionsmake our students industry ready whilethey are still in college. This ensures thatour students are ready to get into theirjobs quickly and start adding value totheir organizations from day one.We are also grateful to the industryleaders who visit our campus from timeto time to be part of the ongoing cocurricularand extracurricular activities.These interactions help our studentssharpen their skills and make themready to contribute effectively whenthey take up challenging assignmentsin the industry.
