in our students over the years. The just
concluded placement season at IBS
Bangalore for the outgoing 2020 batch of
students witnessed a significant uptrend
with a rush of offers from various reputed
domestic as well as international MNCs
that visited our campus. Reflecting the
optimistic business sentiment, corporate
houses across industry verticals showed
keen interest in recruiting from our
campus and offered higher pay packages
than previous years. This is a reflection of
the positive experience that our recruiters
have had with our students from previous
batches who have made successful
careers in these organizations.

We believe that it is the responsibility
of the institution to provide the best
education and environment to make our
students job worthy. The focus of our
school is on maintaining high academic
rigor with adequate exposure to real
world problems and opportunities to
engage with the corporate world. In
addition, the diversity of students at IBS
Bangalore makes for a unique and healthy
environment that encourages interaction
and peer learning.
Placements at IBS Bangalore have always
been a two-way process. The reputation
of IBS Bangalore and the excellent contact
and network with companies built over
the years by the faculty members and
placement managers make the companies
look at IBS Bangalore as their preferred
source for young talent. The highly
motivated and talented group of students
at our campus have made the best use
of these opportunities and chosen these
organizations for building their careers.
This year, 113 companies participated in
the placement process, and I am happy
to inform you that a good number of
them are new companies from growing
sectors, that started their relationship
with IBS Bangalore this year. The BFSI
sector continued to lead the way in
terms of recruitments. We are also
happy to note that the average CTC
has shown an uptrend for the seventh
consecutive year.
A practice-oriented curriculum, a
conducive learning environment, the
untiring efforts of our faculty members,
constant mentoring by our alumni,
useful inputs from the placement team,
and appropriate soft-skills interventions
make our students industry ready while
they are still in college. This ensures that
our students are ready to get into their
jobs quickly and start adding value to
their organizations from day one.
We are also grateful to the industry
leaders who visit our campus from time
to time to be part of the ongoing cocurricular
and extracurricular activities.
These interactions help our students
sharpen their skills and make them
ready to contribute effectively when
they take up challenging assignments
in the industry. These industry
leaders provide unique real-life
industry insights to our students that
contribute greatly in their preparation.
With close to 54,000 alumni in all
parts of the globe occupying senior
positions and the institute consistently
achieving high rankings in B-School
surveys conducted by reputed
agencies, we at IBS are, as always,
committed to grooming future
leaders with an uncompromising
