We had113 companies participating at various stages of theplacement process and were able to get 444 job offers toour eligible students at IBS Bangalore. Once again Bankingand Financial Services sector remained dominant duringthe placement season by offering the highest numberof jobs across domains. Put together they contributed toabout 53% of the total job offers made.Year on Year, there is a steady and continuousincrease in the average CTC offered by ourrecruiters at IBS Bangalore. This year the averageCTC stood at 6.27LPA compared to 5.94 LPA lastyear.This cycle also saw a spur in the demand for jobsin the Audit & Advisory roles with companies likeDeloitte, KPMG and PWC making some impactfuland meaningful contribution to the placementprocess.Our regular recruiters like ICICI Bank, HDFCBank, Kotak Bank, TCS, HCL Technologies, ICICIPrudential, GoMMT, Oracle, Federal Bank alsoreaffirmed their faith in our students by offeringa plethora of new roles in their esteemedorganisations.In addition to the regular recruiters, there was also asignificant contribution from the IT/ITES , Ecommerceand Insurance industry adding up to 22% of the offers.The other key highlight of this year’s placement seasonwas the interest shown by Edu-Tech and App basedcompanies. These were mostly start-ups offering a widerange of roles and lucrative pay structures. Byju’s, Toppr,Extramarks, MyGate, NoBroker etc. to name a few.What was also encouraging was to notice the positivetrend shown by New and first time recruiters in reachingout to us for their Management Trainee requirements.A few of the other sectors which hired from our campuswere Hospitality & Travel, Pharma & Healthcare, MarketResearch, Logistics & Manufacturing.
