Petroleum drillings
In 2008, drilling works concentrated on the
preparation of H.1700 N°II rig at the base
of El Hanchane, in expectation of the works
scheduled for the year 2009, especially the
implementation of MKL-102 workover, Boujdour
stratigraphic well, and Meskala development
well.
On the other hand, ONHYM ensured several
services related to equipment location and
support for the partners operating in Morocco.
Hydrocarbon production
The national production of hydrocarbons
reached 49.60 million standard cubic meters

Office National des Hydrocarbures et des Mines
for natural gas and 8 850 tons for condensate
and crude oil, thereby recording a fall of 18 %
for natural gas and 19 % for condensate and
crude compared to the previous year. This fall is
mainly due to the reduction of OCP withdrawals,
especially during the last quarter of 2008 and
the stop of production in OLB-1 well depleted
during the year.
