COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY & INFORMATION SYSTEM
The Information System Master Plan (ISMP)
worked out in collaboration with an international
consultant over a five-year period was finalized
in 2007.
Computer projects are grouped into a folio
of thematic programs and are conducted
according to an IS governance mode, and in
accordance with the provisions of the operation
charter governing the relations between the
implied parties.

Mines and Oil
After a detailed survey of petroleum exploration
needs in information system, the GIS project
development was launched. The other projects
of the core business launched as part of the
Information System Master Plan aim at securing
and organizing the heritage of data generated
by mining and petroleum works and following
the life cycle of various data and documents.
The challenge behind these projects is to master
the heritage of data and documents by using
the latest information technology by optimizing
costs and guaranteeing the security, viability
and availability of the documentary resources.
Finance logistics
In this field, structuring projects of ISMP such
as the restructuring and analytical accountancy,
the implementation of integrated management
software and the project management mode
have been launched. The main objectives set
by the three projects are the following :
• Support the evolution of the organization ;

• Encourage the setting up and development
of project management concept, set up as
a new operation mode for the conduct of
mining and petroleum projects
• Encourage the eligibility of the Office to the
State control.
Human resources
As far as human resources are concerned, two
main IS projects have been conducted :
• Consolidation of the human resources
information system ;
• Implementation of attendance time
management system. The system is
operational and the associated project is in
the conclusion stage.
Common means
As for management of the documentary
heritage, the service offer has been modernized
with the use of the intranet for the publication of
several documentary products.
Infrastructure
Infrastructure projects are conducted to
accompany the needs of IS projects with
regard to equipment, network infrastructure
and storage, to ensure the security of data by
putting the latest information technology means
at the service of oil and mining exploration.
Thus, the needs of web site projects, integrated
management software, the intranet, GIS Oil and
GIS Mine have been integrated and launched.
