Day 12: The backwaters
Drive to the backwater region of Kerala this
morning. En route, enjoy a backwater cruise by
shikara boat through narrow canals. This cruise
explores the picturesque waterways, revealing
boats carrying loads of coir, copra and cashews
and, along the water’s edge, numerous
churches and markets. Stay for 2 nights at the
Coconut Lagoon. (B)

Day at leisure. Optional village life experience
or visit to Phillip Kutty farmhouse with

Day 14: Fly to London via Dubai
Morning transfer to the airport and fly to
London, via Dubai, with Emirates. (B)
Rice barge tour variation

In a variation to the main tour, instead of
taking a shikara ride on day 12, relax on a fullday
cruise through the backwaters,
followed by a night aboard a traditional rice
barge. Traditional Keralan cuisine is served on
board and just before sunset the boat drops
anchor for the night.
