<strong>WP</strong>1/7 Letters from Sydney Skertchly 1889-1910<br />

Skertchly was an English born Botanist and Geologist; arrived in<br />

Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, from Hong Kong in 1891 and<br />

was Assistant Government Geologist for the Geological Survey of<br />

Queensland 1895-97. He lectured widely and wrote on natural<br />

history and science for the ''Brisbane Courier''. (Source: Bright<br />
