WP1/7 Letters from Sydney Skertchly 1889-1910
Skertchly was an English born Botanist and Geologist; arrived in
Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, from Hong Kong in 1891 and
was Assistant Government Geologist for the Geological Survey of
Queensland 1895-97. He lectured widely and wrote on natural
history and science for the ''Brisbane Courier''. (Source: Bright
