Approximately 55 letters to William Greenell <strong>Wallace</strong> with some<br />

copies of replies by WGW and some enclosed or related print,<br />

letters, and press cuttings; from individuals and organisations re the<br />

death of his father <strong>Alfred</strong> <strong>Russel</strong> <strong>Wallace</strong>, some referring to copies<br />

of his letters (see also <strong>WP</strong>2/4: papers re James Marchant and<br />

''Letters and Reminiscences''); from publishers and authors re<br />

quotation from his published work and from prospective German<br />

biographer Eugen Hornung; a few letters refer to the disposal of his<br />

papers or effects (see also items <strong>WP</strong>16/2 and <strong>WP</strong>16/3).<br />

(corporate names where appropriate) and then by date.<br />
