the course virtually. Krishna received a score of 5 on the AP Calculus
AB exam and has earned the AP Scholar with Distinction Award. She is
also a 2022 National Merit Scholarship Finalist.
Krishna is a highly dedicated honor roll student and has won numerous
academic awards. She is a member of our Distinguished Scholar
Program. She has accepted the challenge of dedicating herself to the
highest level of scholastic pursuit. Krishna is also a member of the
Montverde Academy Head of School Leadership Institute, a select
group of students chosen for their academic and leadership abilities.
She has been a member of the Honor Council at MVA all four years
of high school. Krishna has also been a member of the Environmental
Club, Key Club, and Academic Team.
Krishna is also a member of MVA’s STEM SAC program. When she
was a sophomore, Krishna and her cousin created a virtual STEM
4 Girls camp. They did various experiments and activities with them
over Zoom. Their goal was to inspire them to pursue study in a STEM
field and have fun doing it. “In the future, I want to work with National
Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) or Space X. That field
really intrigues me,” said Krishna.
In addition to her high academic achievement and extra-curricular
activities, Krishna has found time to give back to her community.
“Outside of Montverde Academy, I would just like to portray that I
am very involved in my community. I love to spend time with family
and friends, travel, read, and do outdoor activities (hiking, skiing,
wakeboarding, etc.).” Her volunteer activities include assisting at Give
Kids the World, Kids College at Lake Sumter, Thrive Clermont, and
South Lake Hospital. She has also worked with St. Jude to fundraise for
children with cancer.
Krishna is a very polite, intelligent, and mature person who treats
everyone with respect. She has received the Good Citizenship Award
every year that she has been at MVA. Some of the words that her
friends and classmates use to describe Krishna are helpful, loyal, and
committed to her friends, family, and schoolwork. I believe that Krishna
has the traits that will enable her to succeed in college and beyond.
I have enjoyed getting to know and teaching this amazing young lady.
I have amazing teachers and
don’t think I’ve ever had a
teacher that wasn’t willing to
help, and that is priceless.
