All-American honors, and was named the game’s most<br />
valuable player too. He also was the recipient of the Jersey<br />
Mike’s Naismith Trophy for most outstanding high school<br />
basketball player, he was the MaxPreps National Player of<br />
the Year and he earned All-NIBC first team honors. He was<br />
also named the GEICO High School Nationals tournament<br />
most valuable player.<br />
Jalen Hood-Schifino earned All-NIBC third team honors and<br />
was named to the NIBC all-defensive team. He also earned<br />
Naismith third team honors. Dillon Mitchell was named a<br />
McDonalds All-American, earned Naismith second team<br />
honors, All-NIBC defensive team and MaxPreps third<br />
team honors.<br />
“This campus has a commitment to excellence, drive for<br />
growth, and the willingness to be accountable. As iron<br />
sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another,” Phiri<br />
added. “Simply put it is our culture and the people that<br />
make up our community.”<br />
To be the first to ever bring<br />
this prestigious academy a<br />
national championship is<br />
an honor I’ll never forget.<br />
It is a memory that I’ll<br />
cherish for a lifetime. The<br />
best part of it all is that<br />
we’re just getting started.<br />
