A Historic Year for MVA<br />

Never before had a high school have both its<br />
boys’ and girls’ basketball teams win the GEICO<br />
High School Nationals tournament in the same<br />
year. Montverde Academy put an end to that<br />
drought in the 2021-22 season when<br />
the Eagles made history by<br />
becoming the first high school<br />
to ever win the GEICO High<br />
School Nationals championship<br />
in boys’ and girls’ basketball in<br />
the same year.<br />
