Aaron Kaufman in “Little Shop of Horrors”
One of the many wonderful things I enjoy about living in Central Florida is the ability
to very quickly and easily visit the theme parks and enjoy the many things they have
to offer. On a recent visit driving to Disney World, I got caught up contemplating their
slogan, “The Most Magical Place on Earth,” as I drove under their entry arches.
While I would never argue that premise with Disney, I couldn’t help but think how the
Fine Arts at Montverde Academy, and especially the Music and Theatre Conservatories,
might be in strong contention for designation as “The Most Magical Place on Earth.”
When one considers the number of shows, concerts,
recitals and the like the department undertakes in the
course of the year, the level to which these are produced,
the accolades achieved, and the joy these provide not
only to our students, but also countless students, families
and community members; one cannot help but believe a
bit of magic exists within our borders as well.
Gulley, Callie Day and Daniel Emmet
