Vintage Car Club show and shine support<br />
<strong>Ashburton</strong> Vintage Car Club’s<br />
annual Daffodil Day show and<br />
shine saw vehicles from across<br />
the ages lined up last weekend<br />
for viewing at the club grounds<br />
in Tinwald.<br />
It was attended by people<br />
young and old, and included<br />
scores of makes and models.<br />
Among the vehicles on show<br />
were alovingly restored 1903<br />
Darracq, a1928 Austin 7, a1934<br />
Ford Coupe, a1963 Volkswagen<br />
1600 D/Cab Ute, a2010<br />
Chevrolet Camaro SS capable<br />
of hitting speed of 96km/h in 4.6<br />
seconds, and a2021 Honda<br />
Civic Type R2.<br />
Club members also had their<br />
museum open for viewing.<br />
All proceeds raised from the<br />
show and shine will go to the<br />
Cancer Society.<br />
