Did You Know?

You can selectively increase the

vibrance of an area in an image by

painting with the Sponge tool ( ),

which is grouped with the Dodge

and Burn tools in the toolbar. In

the Sponge tool Options bar, select

Saturate for the Mode and click

Vibrance ( changes to ).

More Options!

You can remove the Vibrance

adjustment layer by clicking the

trash can ( ) in the adjustment

layer Properties panel.

You can reset the adjustments

to the default settings by clicking

the Reset button ( ) in the

adjustment layer Properties panel.

Try This!

An adjustment layer affects all the

layers below it in the Layers panel.

You can restrict the affect of the

Vibrance adjustment only to the

layer immediately below it by

clicking the Clip to Layer button

( ) in the adjustment layer

Properties panel. This is particularly

useful if you made a selection to

be adjusted and placed the

selection on a separate layer.
