I use to look into your eyes and see
An ocean I could sail on forever
A sight that left me breathless every time
Captivating and beautiful this scene
Would have traveled to the edge of the earth
If you only would have allowed me to
Storms began to brew and water turned harsh
The waves were growing stronger and stronger
I was beginning to watch the tides change
I was beginning to watch the tides change
A once still and calm ocean was raging
Hurricanes were fiercely destroying me
No longer could I stay afloat this way
Drowning in waters I had loved before
This gaze that use to melt me to my core
Was not in your eyes for me anymore
But since then the storm has now blown over
And you lure me back into your water
What is it you keep taking out of me?
