Fantastic Long Cruises
By: Stu Cooper / Happy Adventures
The longest cruise I’ve ever taken was twelve
nights. They were in Europe and I was able
to see many ports in the Mediterranean, and all
around the United Kingdom and Ireland. It was
fantastic.
The Vegas Voyagers has a 16 night Hawaiian Island cruise coming
up next February 9 – 25, 2025. And it is likely Sharon and I will escort
this group. Sixteen nights is a long time to be away especially since we
are still actively working on Vegas Voyager trips and tours.
It does seem, however, that many of our Vegas Voyagers like the
longer cruises. We have close to 20 “Voyagers” getting ready for a 32
night South Pacific cruise in April.
Readers like these cruises
because they can settle in to
the
daily
routines of cruise
life. They can
unpack suitcases
just once and get comfortable in their stateroom. And over the longer
period, they can get to many destinations.
And this upcoming 32-night cruise is not the longest we planned for
some of our Vegas Voyagers. I remember planning a 44-night cruise
for a “Voyager” couple that started in Galveston, Texas and ended in
Singapore.
This cruise crossed the Atlantic Ocean, sailed into the Mediterranean
Sea, transited the Suez Canal, sailed around India into the Indian
Ocean, cruised through Indonesia and ended in Singapore. Now that’s
a cruise!
Oh, and after this couple finished the cruise, they flew from Singapore
to New Delhi and spent five nights visiting the Taj Mahal. Only then did
they fly home to Las Vegas.
If you have the time and like to cruise, then the longer cruises are
for you. We’ll have more information on a number of longer cruises
in future issues, especially a 16 night Alaska cruise roundtrip from Los
Angeles the end of August 2025.
