The following Calculations show that core !iampleswith a direct reading of equal to or less than<br />

400.000 dpm/l 00cm'will be below the definition ofradivactive material as defined in 49 CFR 173.40;<br />

of 70 Bq/g (2F.3 pCi/g). Lerch sample will consist of concrete material Bonn four, two inch core<br />

samples and enough water to make a slurry consistency. 'Fhe dist ri bution al radionuclides is based on<br />

previous concrete samples taken from the below grade Fuel Storage Basin that would also be<br />

representative of these concrete samples.<br />
