(82.3%) out of 620 copies administered were found useable for data analysis. The data were analyzed
using SPSS package. Element of volunteerism on the part of participants was inherent as a major
determinant to participate in the study was the assurance that participants identities and that of the
institution will not be disclosed.
Results
Out of the 620 female students surveyed, 500 (80.6%) completely filled their questionnaires. The
general characteristics of the students are summarized in table 1.

In table 1 above out of 500 study participants, preliminary studies year students constituted
43.0%, year 1,39.6%, year 2, 11.0% year 3, 5.8% and year 4, 0.6%. Also majority of the participants
were between 21-25 years of age.
