By the end of 1987, David was spending little time
mourning the fate of Glass Spider. He had
something much more threatening on his mind – a
lawsuit from a woman named Wanda Lee Nichols,
who accused Bowie of sexually assaulting her in a
Dallas hotel room, on 9 October, 1987.
As far as David’s immediate social circle was
concerned, if he had deep-seated worries about his
career he kept them to himself, but he didn’t conceal
