Needs Assessment and Description
Multiple methods have been used to assess the metabolic
are known to have a high incidence of diabetes and
cardiovascular disease (CVD). As menopause acts as an
aggravating factor that can hasten the onset of CVD, there
is a need to routinely assess every South Asian woman at
menopause for the metabolic syndrome.
Needs Assessment and Description
In order to better understand reproductive endocrinology
and infertility in the 21st century, it is important to have an
in-depth understanding of what occurred prior to this time
period. By examining the discoveries of the 20th century, we
can better comprehend the realities of the 21st century. It is
important for people to have a perspective on the growth
of various ideas. For example, estrogen was an unknown
compound 100 years ago, yet it has become critical to
everyday practice. Understanding the past allows us to be
the innovators of the future.
