Needs Assessment and Description<br />

New methods to allow preservation of fertility after<br />

treatment <strong>for</strong> cancer are rapidly developing. Coordination<br />

and development of a <strong>program</strong> <strong>for</strong> fertility preservation<br />

is of substantial interest <strong>for</strong> fertility <strong>program</strong>s as well as<br />

cancer centers. Guidance on the development of fertility<br />

preservation is needed by members of ASRM, as reflected<br />

by the large number of Fertility Preservation Special Interest<br />

Group members and the paucity of effectively-functioning<br />

fertility preservation <strong>program</strong>s.<br />
