18. The recommendation of the Librarian as to increase in the salary
of Mr. de Grassi was referred to the Library Council for recommenda
tion.
19. The Comptroller reported a request for the conveyance of the
mineral reservation of lands in Section 32, Township 26, North of
Range 3, West, in Clark County, Wisconsin, and stated that this was
in a farming section in which, to his knowledge, there had been no
mineral indications and he was authorized to quit claim the University
mineral reservation in said lands at a consideration of not less than
$1.00 per acre and to execute in the name of the such con
University
veyance as may be necessary and to affix thereto the corporate seal
of the University.
20. The matter of the purchase of the Mitchell land near the East
Ithaca station was referred to a committee consisting of Chairman
Van Cleef, Trustee Wilson and the Comptroller to report.
21. The following budget for the expenses of the Cornellian Council
for the fiscal year 1916-17, approved by the President of the Council
and payable from the moneys collected by it, was approved :
