2. Resolved, That the following appointments be made for the
academic year 1916-17, provision having been made in the budget for
salaries :
Edgar S. Morris to be Secretary of the College of Arts and Sciences,
at a salary of $1,500 per annum, vice E. T. Paine, resigned.
F. E. Fiske to be Instructor in English at a salary of $800 per
annum.
E. M. Urband to be instructor in Architecture at a salary of $1,000
per annum.
Carl A. McClain to be Instructor in Civil Engineering at a salary of
$1,000 per annum (vice J. F. Brauner, resigned).
Theodore L. Smith to be Instructor in Civil Engineering at a salary
of $800 per annum.
Homer W. Smith to be Instructor in Public Speaking at a salary of
$1,000 per annum.
H. G. Bishop to be Assistant in Psychology at a salary of $500 per
annum.
Archie B. Hoel and Arthur J. Rider to be Assistants in Chemistry,
each at a salary of $400 per annum.
P. W. Townsend to be Assistant in Ancient History at a salary of
$350 and free tuition.
3. Resolved, That Dr. W. Gilman Thompson be appointed Acting
Dean of the Medical College (without change of salary) from May
22nd until Dean Polk's return to the College in the autumn.
4. Resolved, That Percy
W. Punnett be appointed Chemical
Pathologist in Bellevue Hospital, Second Division, for the academic
year 1916-17 at a salary of $1,500, payable from $3,850 appropriated
in the Medical College budget as part of "the special unexpended
balance of $7,000 appropriated in
1915-16."
5. Appointments for the Summer Session in 19 16 were made as
