At an informal meeting of Chairman Williams and Trustees Treman
and Place held at the time of the meeting of the Board of Trustees
approval was given to the purchase by the Comptroller for the Uni
versity of a loan of $85,000 to the Hicks Building Co., secured by real
estate in San Antonio, Texas.
Trustees Schurman and Shepard later expressed their approval in
writing, Trustee Ickelheimer expressing his approval but preferring
not to vote as the mortgage is offered by the United States Mortgage
and Trust Co. , of which he is a director.
