The drugs were applied to the sections for 10min and then washed out after 30min of stabilisation, followed by prolonged ischaernia and reoxygenation. Once the optimal dose for each drug was determined, the preparations were randomly allocated to various protocols (n-6/group). In the groups subjected to simulated ischemia, this was induced for a period of 90min and then it was followed by 120min of reperfusion.
