The 6-metre Risken was designed by Bjarne Aas and
built in 1946. Aas is considered to be one of the
three most important Norwegian yacht designers
(alongside Colin Archer and Johan Anker) and,
more important, was most successful in the 6-metre
class where one of his earlier designs won the
RISKEN
classic 6-MetRe with Massive potential
Olympic Gold Medal at Le Havre. Risken is one
of his successful racing designs but was lost. She
will be the third 6-metre replica built at Robbe
& Berking Classics after Nirvana (Olin Stephens,
939) and Apache (Bjarne Aas, 1939).
