CLOSED FOR THE HOLIDAYS
Now is the time that we start to remind everyone
that the Association facilities are closed only five
days a year and most of them
are coming up shortly. We will
be closed on Thanksgiving,
Christmas Eve, Christmas Day
and New Year’s Day (as well as
Easter). There will always be a
Security officer on duty to assist
our members. Security can be
reached at 815-266-6251.

DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME
Just a reminder that Daylight Saving Time ends on
Nov. 6. Please remember to set your clocks back one
hour on that day.
BOARD MEETING SCHEDULE CHANGES
Please note with the October board meeting scheduled
Oct. 29, there will not be a November meeting.
With the upcoming holiday season the December
meeting will be the second Saturday, Dec. 10, at 9
a.m. Please remember that everyone is welcome to
attend board meetings.
HOLIDAY FARMERS’ MARKET
Please come out and enjoy the last market for the
year! The Holiday Market has numerous vendors
and something for everyone. It will be indoors at the
Owners’ Club Social Hall on Nov. 5 from 8:30 a.m.
to 1:30 p.m.
2012 ANNUAL MEETING DATE SET
The date of the 2012 GTA Annual Meeting has
been set for Saturday, Feb. 25 at Eagle Ridge Resort
& Spa. Once again, this day will feature an update on
the business of the Association, as well as a vendor
area and cocktail party. More details will follow in
the coming months.

Holiday Season Fast Approaching!
RECAP OF POOL USAGE
Below are the usage statistics for the swimming
pool, gym and game room from Memorial Day
through Aug. 1 when we closed the pool early due
to storm damage. The percentage of usage is broken
down as follows:

SNOW PLOWING LETTERS
In mid-October, the administrative staff mailed new
agreements for snow plowing services to anyone who
utilized our service last winter. Please return your
contract as soon as possible. If you did not utilize
our services last year and are interested in having the
GTA/GTC handle your snow plowing, please contact
Deb Welp or Sarah Keleher at 815-777-2000.
ANNUAL ASSESSMENTS
The invoices for the 2012 annual assessment will
be mailed in mid-November following approval of
the budget by the Board of Directors. Please be sure
to read the letter included with the invoice. These
invoices are due by Jan. 31, 2012, and your payment
should be mailed directly to the First Community
Bank in the envelope provided.
DEER MANAGEMENT LETTERS
In late October or early November, letters will
be mailed to members with a home who do not
already have an authorization slip on file in the office
requesting permission to cull deer within 100
yards of their home. Annually, we review our files
and mail letters if ownership on a home has changed
hands or if a new home has been built. This is a very
