The Long Awaited Month of November

SOCIAL COMMITTEE MEETING
The GTA Social Committee met on Wednesday,
Sept. 7, for the annual planning of events for the
calendar year 2012. Hearty thanks to all members
who attended the meeting and also to those
who sent comments to me via e-mail. The Social
activities program is strengthened by the many
shared ideas and comments of the members.
THANKSGIVING POTLUCK EVENT
The Annual GTA Thanksgiving Potluck will
be held this year on Saturday, Nov. 12. The
Social Hour, which will begin at 6 p.m., is a
“Bring Your Own”… a container of wine, beer,
soda, etc, enabling each table to share drinks.
Ice, water, coffee, glasses and tableware will
be provided. Dinner, beginning at 6:45 p.m.,
will be Potluck, with guests bringing a dish to
serve 12-14 people. Dishes will be determined
alphabetically according to last name: A-D =
Appetizer; E-H = Salad; I-S = Meat Dish; T-Z =
Vegetable Dish. Desserts will be supplied by the
