200 José María Cardiel, 1994 Hábitat y distribución A. scandens se distribuye posiblemente por las tierras bajas de la cuenca amazónica. Esta sociada al bosque húmedo tropical, tanto primario como secundario, y tiene preferencias riparias. No obstante, conocemos muy pocas recolecciones o citas de esta especie; la mayoría provienen de las guayanas (Lanjouw, 1932; Roosmalen, 1985; Gillespie, 1993>, y en menor medida de Brasil y Venencia. No conocemos recolecciones de la amazonia ecuatoriana ni peruana donde, con toda probabilidad, también se encuentra. En Colombia los escasos ejemplares estudiados proceden del trapecio amazónko y del río Putumayo, a unos 100 m de altitud (Mapa 19). Ejemplares estudiados £QLQMDI&: DEPTO.
