Listing of Government BondsGovernment bonds are listed upon receipt of the listing application, without listingexamination. Of the government bonds issued presently, Treasury bonds and foreignexchange stabilization bonds are listed on the issuing day according to the regulationsgoverning shelf listing of bonds; the National Housing Bonds (NHB [1 and 2]) arelisted on the first day of each month.Listing of Treasury bonds and foreign exchange stabilization bonds are handled bythe Bank of Korea (BOK) over the Internet. Listing of NHBs (1 and 2), on the basis ofthe application for self-listing for bonds scheduled to be issued during the followingyear at the end of each year, the Korea Exchange (KRX) lists the scheduled quantityon the first day of each month, and adjusts the listing value upon receiving the noticeof issuance value following confirmation of bond issuance for the concerned month.c. Listing of Municipal BondsThe same with government bonds municipal bonds are listed without listingexamination, taking into account their public benefits. Listing of shelf-listed municipalbonds, i.e., the provincial development bonds and local subway bonds, is handled inthe same way as NHBs (1 and 2), and listing of bonds issued through public offeringis handled in the same way as corporate bonds.The documents required for listing application for provincial development bonds andsubway bonds are an application for self-listing and a report on result of issuance.The documents required for listing of municipal bonds issued through public offeringinclude an application for listing, trust deed, underwriting agreement or salescontract, a copy of an agreement on offering on commitment (only in case where theconcerned bonds are issued through indirect offering). Listing application for bondscan be submitted over the Internet.d. Listing of Special BondsListing requirements and methods for specific laws bonds differ depending on bondtype.i. Monetary Stabilization BondsThe same as government bonds, listing application for monetary stabilization bondsis made on the day of sale or bidding, and they are listed on the issuance day.ii. Shelf-listed BondsIndustrial financial bonds, Korea National Housing <strong>Corporation</strong> (land) bonds, andland development bonds are listed as shelf-listed bonds in the same way as localsubway bonds, which are municipal bonds. This means, on the basis of application forself-listing for the bonds scheduled to be issued in each month during the followingyear at the end of each year, the KRX lists the scheduled quantity on a fixed day (forexample, on 27th of each month for industrial financial bonds), and adjust the listingvalue upon receiving the notice of issuance value following confirmation of issuanceof bonds for the concerned month.

Aunqueen el 2010 aumentamos la frecuenciade nuestros accidentes con tiempoperdido en un 25% con respecto al2009, continuamos una tendencia de11 años de mejorar nuestra tasa total deaccidentes reportables. Desde el 2005,ha habido una mejora del 66% en eldesempeño de seguridad de <strong>Barrick</strong> enlos porcentajes totales de frecuencia deaccidentes reportables, ha habidotambién una disminución del 76% en eltotal de accidentes (1.200 accidentesmenos por año), lo que da comoresultado una fuerza laboral más sana yuna reducción del costos del 42%.Aunque creemos que mejorar enforma sustancial nuestro porcentajede accidentes es un hito, sabemos quedebemos esforzarnos más para mejorarmás incluso. Nuestra meta siguesiendo cero incidentes.2,01,51,00,506 07 08 09 10Frecuencia del Total deAccidentes ReportablesAtención Médica y FuncionesRestringidasAccidentes con tiempo perdidoVeintidós sitios que informaron, queincluyen 3 minas en operaciones y 9de los 10 lugares de exploración de<strong>Barrick</strong>, cerraron el año sin accidentescon tiempo perdido. Dieciséis sitiosque informaron cerraron el año concero incidentes reportables, y nuestroproyecto Pueblo Viejo, que está enla República Dominicana, logró 20millones de horas trabajadas sin unincidente con tiempo perdido.Seis accidentes fatales, de 3 incidentespor separado, ocurrieron en el 2010.Lamentamos profundamente estosaccidentes fatales. Los accidentesfatales son inaceptables y un áreade gran preocupación para todos en<strong>Barrick</strong>. Dos empleados murieron enun accidente en mina subterránea ennuestra faena <strong>Gold</strong>strike y 4 empleadosperdieron la vida en Bulyanhulu, unafaena de African <strong>Barrick</strong> <strong>Gold</strong> (ABG).Tres de los accidentes fatales de ABGocurrieron por un deslizamiento deResumen del Informe de Responsabilidad 201029
