Seis principales tecnologías de interés <strong>Gamesa</strong> ha identificado seis principales tecnologías de interés, sobre las que basa el análisis y la decisión de inversión en los mercados internacionales: mareas (conversión de corrientes y mareas en energía); fotovoltaica de nueva generación (conversión de fotones solares en energía); minieólica (generación eólica mediante aerogeneradores de pequeña y mediana potencia); movilidad verde (vehículo con motores eléctricos); eficiencia energética (maximización en el uso de la energía y minimización de su consumo); y offgrid (pequeñas unidades de generación renovable sin conexión a la red para lugares remotos). en <strong>2011</strong>, a través de su fondo corporativo <strong>Gamesa</strong> Venture capital, ha materializado sus tres primeras operaciones: las dos primeras, en el ámbito de las soluciones offgrid, con la adquisición de participaciones en las sociedades americanas skyBuilt power y Worldwater & solar technologies y la tercera, con la adquisición del 20% de la española n2s, especializada en servicios de gestión inteligente de la energía: n2s está especializada en vehículo eléctrico y eficiencia energética y dispone de tres soluciones tecnológicas relacionadas con la gestión de la energía en tiempo real, recarga de vehículo eléctrico y redes inteligentes de comunicaciones; skyBuilt power ofrece soluciones en el mercado offgrid renovable. la compañía ha desarrollado productos que combinan fotovoltaica con minieólica; WorldWater & solar technologies cuenta con soluciones para el mercado offgrid renovable móvil. la compañía ha desarrollado soluciones para extraer y potabilizar agua y aprovechar la energía no utilizada en otros usos. GaMeSa electrIc el modelo de gestión de integración vertical de <strong>Gamesa</strong> y su capacidad tecnológica ha permitido a la compañía consolidarse como referente mundial en el sector de los bienes de equipo eléctricos, para mercados como el fotovoltaico, hidráulico y nuclear, tracción eléctrica y propulsión marina, además del eólico. <strong>Gamesa</strong> electric acumula 25 años de experiencia y desarrollos tecnológicos propios, que la convierten en pionera en el mercado de la electrónica de potencia, y más de 80 años en la fabricación de motores y generadores eléctricos. la compañía aporta soluciones completas del sistema eléctrico para los sectores eólico, fotovoltaico, hidráulico y nuclear, tracción eléctrica y propulsión marina, con sistemas de fabricación de última generación, basados en el ‘lean manufacturing’, produciendo en serie o dando respuesta a necesidades personalizadas de clientes de todo el mundo. la compañía diseña y fabrica el sistema eléctrico de una turbina eólica (generador, convertidor y cabinas de control) con todas las tecnologías del mercado. asimismo, ha sido una de las primeras compañías del mundo en suministrar generadores de acoplamiento directo con ‘full converter’. en la actualidad, lidera además el sector de los generadores eléctricos de imanes permanentes. en el segmento fotovoltaico ha instalado más de 1.500 inversores fotovoltaicos centrales y ofrece tecnologías de vanguardia para el suministro de granjas solares de gran escala conectadas a la red. en 1993, diseñó y fabricó el primer inversor fotovoltaico central de 450 kW, así como el primer inversor fotovoltaico IGBt 100 kW de europa, que sigue en servicio. en <strong>2011</strong>, concluyó su primera instalación fotovoltaica en India, posicionándose así en un mercado con gran potencial de desarrollo, al tiempo que amplió su presencia en china, europa del este y latinoamérica. durante el ejercicio, <strong>Gamesa</strong> electric ha recibido pedidos para proyectos hidroeléctricos en españa, Italia, turquía y panamá y entregó equipos para el mercado de generación hidroeléctrica por un total de 130 mW para clientes españoles, austríacos y eslovenos, incluyendo un total de 45 unidades de generadores sumergidos de imágenes permanentes para el proyecto asHta1 en albania. asimismo, la compañía suministró el primer motor de propulsión -de un total de cuatro- para los submarinos s80, construidos por navantia para la armada española. paralelamente, ha iniciado la comercialización de productos de propulsión eléctrica para barcos, incluyendo motores, convertidores y alternadores. <strong>Gamesa</strong> electric ha apostado también por el vehículo eléctrico, con un portafolio de productos de puntos de recarga que -tras la entrada de <strong>Gamesa</strong> en n2s- completa con una plataforma de software de gestión para su administración en remoto. <strong>Gamesa</strong> > <strong>Informe</strong> anual <strong>2011</strong> > mÁs neGocIos 31
