In F<strong>in</strong>land, new <strong>in</strong>dicatorsare cont<strong>in</strong>uously be<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>troduced <strong>in</strong>Responsible Care programme. Dataconcern<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> <strong>in</strong>dicators describ<strong>in</strong>gwell-be<strong>in</strong>g at work were compileddur<strong>in</strong>g spr<strong>in</strong>g 2013 for <strong>the</strong> first time.The trial was highly successful, and <strong>the</strong>correspond<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>dicators will be taken<strong>in</strong>to permanent use.The <strong>in</strong>dicators monitor companies’<strong>in</strong>vestments <strong>in</strong> well-be<strong>in</strong>g, <strong>the</strong> use ofemployee surveys and variety of humanresource management practices, and<strong>the</strong>ir impact on morbidity and age ofretirement.Indicators of <strong>the</strong> process safety are alsowait<strong>in</strong>g for an outl<strong>in</strong>e accord<strong>in</strong>g to <strong>the</strong>OECD Guidance on Safety PerformanceIndicator. Report<strong>in</strong>g of companyresponsibility (GRI Guidel<strong>in</strong>es) issimilarly under change, to be taken <strong>in</strong>toaccount <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> jo<strong>in</strong>t development work.Forward<strong>in</strong> cooperationDialogue with<strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> field and betweenpartners as well as stakeholders is <strong>the</strong>best way to development and progress.This strong feature, characteristic of <strong>the</strong>F<strong>in</strong>nish <strong>chemical</strong> <strong>in</strong>dustry—ability andwill to cooperate—certa<strong>in</strong>ly deservesfur<strong>the</strong>r streng<strong>the</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g.In <strong>the</strong> future, dialogue will take placeon several platforms. Network meet<strong>in</strong>gsorganised with<strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> ResponsibleCare programme and open to <strong>the</strong> representativesof <strong>the</strong> sector’s companiesand <strong>in</strong>terest groups, are an example.Susta<strong>in</strong>able operation results aboveall from everyday achievements, andcommitment of <strong>the</strong> know-how of <strong>the</strong>whole personnel to <strong>the</strong> work <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong>sector’s companies will be importantalso <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> future.
