Checking the wear of the brake padsPeriodically check the width of the friction material layer of the pads,making sure it never falls below the wear limit (1 mm).WARNING: If the brake pads are excessively worn out, theeffectiveness of the braking system decreases, increasingthe risk of accidents, personal injury or death. If the padshave worn to near the wear limit, have both pads replacedby your MV Agusta dealer. Never replace just one pad, thepads must always be replaced in pairs. Ensure that the newpads are suitably broken in, see § 4.2.- 136 -
