MAINTENANCE 6EN6❏ Checking the wheel rimsBefore riding, always verify the absence ofcracks, bending or buckling on the wheel rims.WARNINGIf you find that the wheel rim is damagedin any way do not ride the motorcycle.Have it replaced by an authorized MVAgusta dealer. If you do have to ride themotorcycle, it should be operated at lowspeeds and driven only to the nearest MVAgusta dealer. Never attempt to repair thewheel rim, even in case of slight damage.Every time you replace a tire or a rim,you must have a wheel balancingperformed by an authorized MV Agustadealer. Wheel unbalance can adverselyaffect performance and handling of themotorcycle, as well as shorten the life ofthe tires. This may increase the risk ofaccidents, with subsequent seriousinjury or even death.- 144 -WARNINGWhen you have a wheel balancingperformed, make sure to assemble onlyapproved counterweights on the wheelrim. Do not use balancing or balancing/sealingfluids.WARNINGDo not attempt to have a tubeless tireremoved without using the proper toolsand protections for the wheel rim.Otherwise, you could damage the sealingsurface of the rim, leading to thedeflation of the tire and the loss of controlof the vehicle, resulting in an accident,personal injury or death.
