MAINTENANCE 6EN66.9. Checking and replacing the tiresWARNINGBefore using the motorcycle,always check the pressure andwear of the tires. The tire airpressure must be checked andadjusted on cold tires.Checking the inflating pressure of thetires is an essential requirement to ensuredriving safety.Never exceed the maximum inflationpressure recommended by the tire manufacturer.Refer to the pressures given in §8.2. or on the label applied to the steeringhead tube. In the event of long rides, youcan increase the face value of the tirepressure by 0.2 bar (0.014 psi).WARNINGIncorrect tire pressure can result in loss of controlof the motorcycle, an accident, personalinjury or death.- 140 -
