8INSTALLING THE 15QRENGLISH»»»»»»Position your front wheel (without the 15QR axle) into the dropouts of the lower fork leg. Position the brake rotor betweenthe brake pads of the disc caliper as you seat the hub shoulders squarely and firmly into the dropout counterbores.WARNING: As dirt and debris can accumulate between the fork axle openings, always check and clean theseareas before installing the wheel. Improper hub and axle installation can result with SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.Insert the 15QR axle into the fork dropout and slide it all the way through the hub, until you contact the axle nut onthe opposite side.NOTE: The axle nut is preset at the factory, correctly positioning the 15QR lever relative to the fork leg when the 15QRlever is closed, with the correct amount of cam tension.Thread the 15QR axle into the axle nut five to six (5-6) complete turns, orienting the axle such that the open 15QR leverarrives positioned below the fork leg.Move the 15QR lever from the open towards its closed position. If you are not feeling a resistance when the 15QRlever moves to being parallel with the axle, the axle nut needs to be reset. Visit http://service.foxracingshox.com, orcontact a qualified bicycle service technician, FOX Racing Shox, or an Authorized FOX Racing Shox Service Center, formore information.Using hand strength only, push the 15QR lever to its fully closed position with the palm of your hand. Do not use anykind of hand tool to increase leverage. When the 15QR lever is fully pressed in to full close, the side of the lever with the engraved inscription “CLOSED”must be facing outwards from the wheel, and the lever should be positioned between one (1) and twenty (20) mmforward of the fork leg.CAUTION: Positioning the closed 15QR lever below the fork leg dropout may leave it vulnerable to hittingobjects on the trail, posing a potential risk of suddenly loosening the axle. Position the closed 15QR lever in front ofthe fork leg as instructed, to reduce this risk.INSTALLING THE 36 MM 20QR»»»Before installing your front wheel, check that your dropout QR levers are in the open position. As you guide the brakerotor into the front caliper, place the wheel between the dropouts of the fork, and slide the axle in through the forkdropouts and hub.Thread in the axle until it is hand tight.Push the axle lever into its closed position until it clicks into place.
