Venez découvrir deux photographes présentés par
la Galerie O : Nicolas Moscara et Géraldine Aresteanu
aux Thermes Marins de Monte Carlo du 27 juin au
27 septembre.
Nicolas Moscara dans l’intimité des stars
Aujourd’hui, Nicolas Moscara nous invite à retrouver
des célébrités immortalisées il y a 35 ans. Des clichés
inconnus, car, suprême privilège, Nicolas Moscara les
a photographiées chez elles en ouvrant les portes
présumées inaccessibles de leur jardin secret.
C’était à l’époque de France Soir. Période mythique
de la grande presse. Dans les années 80, tout le
monde lit « France Soir », et regarde avec avidité les
photos du plus grand tirage de la presse française.
Photos qui trouvèrent la consécration, en 1981, avec
la création de France Soir Magazine qui a donné la
chance à de jeunes photographes.
Nicolas Moscara était de ceux-là. A 25 ans, il se voit
propulsé par sa rédaction en chef chez les vedettes
du show biz. Serge Gainsbourg, Gérard Depardieu,
Johnny Holliday, France Gall, Renaud, Catherine
Deneuve…
Géraldine Aresteanu : Voyages
Elle a 13 ans, et déjà elle sait qu’elle sera
photographe. Elle veut avec des images montrer ce
qui est autour de nous et que souvent on ne voit
pas... la grâce d’un regard, un petit vélo posé sur un
disque, une lumière qui éclaire la nuit, la douceur d’un
sein... Généreuse, sensible et à l’écoute de ses modèles
et du monde qui l’entoure Géraldine est récompensée
en 2000 par le prix de la fondation de France.
Cela la conforte dans son choix, lui permet d’acheter
ses premières lumières. Depuis Geraldine pose son
œil vert dans l’objectif de son appareil et révèle le
monde, les gens dans ses photos.

Aresteanu – in the Thermes Marins de Monte Carlo

Nicolas Moscara, up close with the stars
Today, Nicolas Moscara has invited us to admire the
photos he took of celebrities 35 years ago. These
photos have not been revealed before, because
Moscara had the supreme privilege of shooting the
stars in their own homes, opening the previously
inaccessible door to their secret garden.
This was around the time of France Soir, a legendary
period for the French press. In the 80s, everyone read
“France Soir” and loved looking at the photos in this
leading French daily. In 1981, a news magazine
completely in pictures was created, France Soir
Magazine, which gave young photographers a foot in
the door. Nicolas Moscara was one of these
photographers. Aged 25, he was sent by his editor to
photograph the biggest stars in showbiz:
Serge Gainsbourg, Gérard Depardieu, Johnny
Halliday, France Gall, Renaud, Catherine Deneuve,
and many more.
Géraldine Aresteanu: Voyages
At the tender age of 13, she already knew she wanted
to become a photographer. With her pictures, she
wants to show us the things around us that we don’t
often notice: the grace of a glance, a small bicycle
propped on a disc, a light that illuminates the night,
the softness of a breast…
Generous, sensitive and attentive to her models and
to the world around her, Géraldine was awarded the
Prix de la Fondation de France in 2000.
This reassured her in her choice of profession and
enabled her to buy her first lights.
Since then, Géraldine has placed her green eye firmly
in the lens of her camera and has revealed the world
and people in her photos.
